In the run-up to Tet, most Vietnamese families spend their time decluttering and doing home makeovers. As part of the traditional Tet ritual, Vietnamese adorn their walls with folk wooblock paintings featuring the zodiac animals (buffalo, cow, chicken, pig etc.) or the Mother Goddess as a way to attract good fortune.
In order to spread the Tet festive cheer, Collective Memory is giving ‘Buffalo Boy’ a modern and youthful twist with our Tet art prints series created by local artists.
